Time for a Beauty Counter update! A lot has changed since writing this original “Honest Review of Beauty Counter” blog post, including many of the products and the fact that I now have a consultant account. It’s still one of my most-read posts, though!
As you can imagine, I have ended up loving the products so much since then, it only made sense for my to create a consultant account to purchase them at a discount. Like I always say, I don’t exclusively use Beauty Counter products, but the ones I choose to use, I use for their amazing quality + results! The fact that they are “clean” skincare and make-up products is just a bonus to me, but I’m always striving to make smart swaps where I can.
Now that I’ve been using the products for a few years (and recommending them to others!) I have a few that are really tried and true in my Beauty Counter routine that I purchase again and again. I want to share those with you today!
1. Cleansing Balm – This balm has been a favorite of mine for years, but I just got a new jar of it and fell in love all over again! I actually look forward to washing my face at night with a full face of make up on when I have this on hand. It seriously just melts away make up! I use a dime sized amount and gently rub it all over my dry face (including eyelids, eyelashes, etc.) and watch it do it’s work. Then I use one of these “erase your face” cloths dampened with warm water to wipe away my make up! I follow up with a foaming cleanser, the complete the rest of my nighttime routine. You won’t find a better make up remover than this!
2. Charcoal Mask – I’ve tried a lot of masks over the years, and nothing cleans out my pores better than this one. It’s so satisfying to actually see it soaking up the oil from your face as it’s working! I try to use this twice a week when I’m fresh out of the shower so my pores are really opened up. This one is a game changer! The tube also lasts me for months, so the price is justified.
3. Overnight Resurfacing Peel – Chemical peels are exfoliants, without being abrasive like scrubs. If you’re using any kind of retinol (I use Differin) you need to be exfoliating to see results! I use this AHA/BHA peel every other night to keep my skin bright. I always see a difference in redness and skin tone when I wake up after using this! Definitely one of my favorite products in my Beauty Counter routine.
4. Sleep Recovery Cream – This cream is so rich without feeling oily or heavy. This is the last step in might nighttime skincare routine, and is truly so moisturizing. It also last forever because of the convenient pump dispenser, so you never use too much!
5. Mineral Face SPF – I was previously using the Elta face SPF and like it, but wanted to try to Beauty Counter version. I’ve been using it for about a month now and absolutely love it for my daily SPF! It doesn’t leave a white cast and is not oily at all.
6. Skin Twin Featherweight Foundation – This is the only product in this post that is new to me! This foundation replaced the “Tint Skin” foundation that Beauty Counter used to have. This one is a similar formula, but now there are even more shades to choose from! I wear shade Medium 310 for the summertime. It’s really great coverage that is buildable, but truly is “featherweight,” which I love for the warmer temps.
