Graduation Photos + Life Update

What’s that? 16 days until graduation?? Not sure how that’s possible, but here we are in our caps and gowns to prove it. To be honest, this is a little bit of a scary time, but I can’t wait to see what the future holds! As cliche as it sounds, graduating truly is bittersweet. (Def not going to be mad about not studying for anything ever again in my life.) The SO talented Kylie Anne Stiltner took these photos for Rudd and I last week and I know I’m going to cherish them forever and ever!

For those who have been asking, I’ll be in Columbia, SC after graduation. With my parents + Mary Catherine and Ben living there, it seems only right to go back – at least for a little bit! I’m working on launching something really fun and exciting in the next few weeks that I would love to get your feedback on – stay tuned for more info! As always, thank you to all of you who come back time and time again to read my posts – the reason I keep writing is for YOU and I’m excited to expand the platform I’ve built.

I think I’m most looking forward to graduating so that I can get into a daily routine again. College is just so weird because of the fact that every day/night looks completely different – and plans often aren’t decided on until the very last minute. I’ve always been a planner to the extreme, so I will have peace of mind knowing what I will be doing on a daily basis! As far as navigating the rest of post-grad life, I think the most important part is to be intentional in every area and make the most of my time. Because I won’t be right down the block from most of my friends anymore, it will be important to stay in touch via phone calls, etc! (To be honest, this is something that I’m terrible about, but have been working on since some of my good friends graduated last year.)

One book that I have really leaned on (pun intended) is Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg. She wrote an edition specifically for graduates and I think it is a must read for any college student or post-grad young professional! She writes specifically to young women, telling you how to “lean in” to your job and stand out among the rest. Definitely consider it as a grad gift if you’re looking for one for a friend!

I truly am so thrilled to begin this next chapter of my life and am so thankful for everything that Clemson has given me and taught me. I can’t wait to see what lies ahead for me in the future and am excited to share my journey with you all!
