I went back and forth trying to decide whether or not to attempt my own gel nail at home during the first few weeks of quarantining. After talking to a bunch of y’all, I decided against it! However, I have been trying out Essie’s Lightless Gel Couture Polish as an alternative, and I absolutely love it.
I might even scale back my nail salon trips (*gasp*) when all of this is over (and after the wedding!) because I feel so confident using this polish on my own! It usually stays on without chipping for around a week, just depending on how harsh I am on my nails.
I’ve been doing 3 coats of lightless Gel Couture color, then 1 coat of the lightless Gel Couture top coat to finish! The white color I’ve been using is “First Fitting.” A few of you recommend the Essie Base Coat, and I have that in my Amazon cart right now to try! For something fun, I wanted to share all the other polish colors I have my eye on right now that I’ll probably start collecting over the next few months!
