2022 Christmas Home Tour

This is truly the first Christmas where I feel like my holiday decor really feels like “me!” Of course, it’s also only the third Christmas that we’ve been married, and have had my own house to decorate. For someone who loves to decorate for the holidays, it’s actually kind of hard when you’re first “starting out” and are working from scratch! I thought I would share a little tour to document it!

Over the past few years, I’ve loved the things I’ve collected. This year, I added a few more things than last year’s Christmas decor, and I expect I’ll keep doing that forever! I already know a few things I want to add next year, and it’s fun to have that to look forward to.

Half of my holiday decor is sentimental, passed down from my mom and my Mimi, and the other half is fun things that I’ve accumulated myself! I once heard someone say to decorate for the holidays with the colors that are already in your home, so for me, that of course means adding a splash of pink throughout. Good thing my husband doesn’t mind! 😆

I’m keeping it pretty simple in the kitchen this year! The tabletop flocked tree and the mistletoe wreath above the stove are both from last year from Target, as is the white scalloped bowl that’s no longer available. I love having various Christmas candies out on the kitchen counter (the tree dishes are old Crate & Barrel) – they look so cute next to my Graceful Glories advent scripture cards, and my Christmas wine charm tree!

One of my new additions for the year is this garland for the mantle, that is sadly sold out! I got two of them, and I think they look so pretty. I’ll probably add some red berries and ribbon in the future! You can click here to shop all of my mantle decor!

We just got this new sofa table as an early Christmas gift from my parents! My mom knew I was on the hunt for the perfect piece to go here, and she found it! I can’t wait to style it with lamps, etc., but I’m loving it with my Willow Tree nativity displayed. Click here to shop our flocked tree, and my pink chinoiserie panels!

Can’t forget the bar cart! This embroidered Christmas tree tea towel was a gift, and the bell garland was also a Target find from last year. Someone gave Rudd these Christmas Vacation moose glasses, and I actually think they’re so fun to have out on the cart! We need to get some eggnog and use them – ha!

Now, for the dining room! I have my usual combination of these rattan placemats and my gold chargers, paired with our Lenox Holiday china, and the Christmas napkins my sister had embroidered as a wedding gift! These gold bow napkin rings are also a go-to for me. I recently ordered these glass candle holders, and found these red twist taper candles here! The pink and red table runner is another old Target find, and my amaryllis planter is linked here. I can’t believe mine are already blooming! I need to slow them down so they’ll be opening for Christmas!

Another new addition for the year were these 12 inch preserved boxwood wreaths that I hung on the windows in our living room with this 2 inch ribbon! I love how it turned out! I also got some fresh garland at our farmer’s market (which is where we also got our fresh tree!) to hang around our front door – I added the same ribbon to it! I hadn’t really done much other than a wreath for our front door the past two years, and the garland is definitely sparking joy!

Merry Christmas!
