Y’all seemed to love my summer reading list and fall reading list posts in 2018, so I thought it was only fitting to continue the series with my winter reading list! You gave me so many great ideas on Instagram earlier in the week. I added your book recommendations to my own and mashed them up in one list! Use this post as a place to refer back to when you need some reading inspiration!
I shared on my Instagram stories last week that I have totally fallen off the wagon when it comes to my reading habits. The holidays really threw off my normal nighttime routine! I’ve been diving into my current book, All the Light We Cannot See, this week and it’s been sooo nice. What are you currently reading? Is there anything I should add to this list? Leave it in the comments!

MY WINTER BOOK LIST:
1. One Day in December by Josie Silver
“Laurie is pretty sure love at first sight doesn’t exist anywhere but the movies. But then, through a misted-up bus window one snowy December day, she sees a man who she knows instantly is the one. Their eyes meet, there’s a moment of pure magic…and then her bus drives away.”
I’ve heard One Day in December described as a “Hallmark movie in a book,” so you know it has to be good! This would be a great light-hearted read for a snow day, or on an airplane.
2. Eligible by Curtis Sittonfeld
“This version of the Bennet family—and Mr. Darcy—is one that you have and haven’t met before: Liz is a magazine writer in her late thirties who, like her yoga instructor older sister, Jane, lives in New York City. When their father has a health scare, they return to their childhood home in Cincinnati to help—and discover that the sprawling Tudor they grew up in is crumbling and the family is in disarray.”
Eligible is a modern retelling of Pride & Prejudice. I have actually owned this book for a couple of years but have never gotten around to reading it! I think I’ll make it first on my list when I finish my current book.
3. When Life Gives You Lululemons by Lauren Weisberger
“Welcome to Greenwich, Connecticut, where the lawns and the women are perfectly manicured, the Tito’s and sodas are extra strong, and everyone has something to say about the infamous new neighbor.”
This book was recommended by several readers!! It seems like it would be such a great beach read, but it doesn’t look like I’ll be anywhere warm and sunny anytime soon ? Excited to pick this one up and read it over a long weekend!
4. The Alice Network by Kate Quinn
“In an enthralling new historical novel from national bestselling author Kate Quinn, two women—a female spy recruited to the real-life Alice Network in France during World War I and an unconventional American socialite searching for her cousin in 1947—are brought together in a mesmerizing story of courage and redemption.”
I’m a total nerd for any book based in WWI or WWII – I think those time periods are so interesting! This book is a NYT Bestseller and I can’t wait to dive into it.
