Wedding Wednesday No. 2 // When & Where We’re Getting Married

Wednesdays are easily becoming my new FAVORITE day of the blog week! All the excitement over the past couple of weeks has been so much fun and I’m so thankful to have all of you to share it with! Part of me wants to spill all of the details about my vision for the wedding all at once…but that would be no fun! I’m excited to keep sharing little pieces with you along the way, right up until we get married!

I’ll start by saying that I will not be sharing the exact date of our wedding on the blog (or at least not anytime soon.) I want to be able to be present in the planning process, and especially the week before the big day! I feel like removing the pressure of sharing details on social media while the event is actually happening will help me stay in the moment much more. AND that means I’ll get to surprise all of you when it DOES happen! I’m already too excited to have a “Wedding Week” on the blog when we get back from our honeymoon.

Where & When We're Getting Married

Me: navy jumpsuit // nude sandals // tassel earrings // coin necklace

Rudd: jacket // shirt // shoes // belt

With all of that said, I’m so happy to share with you that we will be getting married in APRIL of 2020!! We really want it to be warm for our wedding day – not too hot and not too cold. We also wanted to avoid the crazy-busy fall season (especially because SO many of our family and friends are dedicated college football fans! ?) I’m hoping that April will be the happy medium between all of those things.

I’m also so happy to have an exact year to plan and prep things, but I’ll share more details on why that is in a future post ?

As for the “where” – we’ll be getting married in my home city of Columbia, SC! I’ve always known that I would get married at my home church, which is also where my sister had her wedding in 2017. Sharing the exact location of our reception, rehearsal dinner, etc. is something I’m seriously looking forward to sharing after the wedding!

For now – leave a comment or send me a DM on Instagram with what you want to see in the next Wedding Wednesday post! Should I write about how Rudd and I met? Or create a virtual wedding inspiration board? Let me know!
