I\u2019m long overdue for a home progress update! You can read more about our home renovation process<\/a><\/strong><\/span> through the blog posts in my “at home” category<\/a><\/strong><\/span>. After completing so many projects inside of our home (most recently, our laundry room<\/a><\/strong><\/span>!), we started discussing improvements we wanted to make to our outdoor living spaces a few months ago.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I knew I wanted a porch swing<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, because there is a spot on our front porch that is just perfect for it. This partnership with Backyard Discovery<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>came at the perfect time because I couldn\u2019t find a swing that I loved until I came across this simple, but beautiful swing<\/a><\/strong><\/span> on their website<\/a><\/strong><\/span>! It\u2019s surprisingly affordable and my husband, Rudd, was able to put it together in an afternoon with no trouble. I can already tell that it’s very durable, and know we’ll be enjoying it for years to come. We’ve loved having a little spot where the two of us can sit together on our porch!<\/p>\n

Previously, we had a firepit in a corner of our backyard that we loved using, but talked about having a covered patio\/firepit situation in the future. The Rayven Gazebo from Backyard Discovery<\/a><\/strong><\/span> ended up being the perfect solution! Many of you know that Rudd is a custom home contractor, so assembling this was an absolute breeze – it was finished within a day! However, he did comment that someone without any construction knowledge would be able to do it very easily as well.<\/p>\n

We have a really pretty off of the back of our house, and I’m so excited for a new outdoor space to enjoy it. Now, the fun begins with styling this new space!<\/p>\n

We decided that it only made sense pour a concrete patio underneath the gazebo<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, but we’re still working on adding the firepit portion off to the side, and obviously still need to landscape around it. I’m also shopping for patio furniture to go underneath the gazebo<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, and am thinking of something like this sectional couch<\/a><\/strong><\/span>. Thoughts?!<\/p>\n

Overall, I’m extremely pleased with both of these new pieces from Backyard Discovery<\/a><\/strong><\/span>! I also want to mention that the shipping was extremely easy for both items – I ordered them through Amazon<\/a><\/strong><\/span>! They even allowed me to pick a day for delivery for the gazebo<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, which was very nice.<\/p>\n
