Today’s post about our custom watercolor wedding crest has been highly requested – and for good reason! Kamie at Dizzy Daisy Designs<\/a><\/strong><\/span> did such an amazing job bringing my vision to life, and I will always look back on the design process so fondly. Dizzy Daisy Designs<\/a><\/strong><\/span> is based out of Charlotte, NC, but I was able to work virtually with Kamie on our designs after meeting in person just once – so convenient!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Kamie hand watercolored everything in our invitation suite, right down to our save the dates and rehearsal dinner invitations! She also handles all of the printing, which is such a great perk. She is now offering semi-custom heraldry<\/a><\/strong><\/span> as well (you can even purchase my exact crest that we custom designed!) Semi-custom is a great option if you’re looking for something more affordable, OR if you simply don’t have a vision in mind and need some inspiration.<\/p>\n

If you look closely at these photos, you’ll see that they have all of the original information for our April 4th wedding date, before we had to postpone<\/a><\/strong><\/span>! Now that we’re on the other side, it truly makes me laugh a little bit to look back on these. We will still cherish them forever!<\/p>\n

I want to make a quick note about using our watercolor crest on the postage stamps for our wedding invitations! I created them with our design file from Dizzy Daisy Designs<\/a><\/strong><\/span> on the Photo Stamps website<\/a><\/strong><\/span>. I spent a lot of time finding somewhere that would let me create something completely custom, and I was so happy with our result!<\/p>\n

When we realized that we were going to have to move our wedding ceremony and reception completely outside, we knew we needed some kind of fans for our guests. My mom, sister and I made these at the last minute! I printed our crest<\/a><\/strong><\/span> on white cardstock<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, then we used rubber cement<\/a><\/strong><\/span> to glue a wooden fan stick<\/a><\/strong><\/span> in between two of the crest prints. My mom found this round corner punch<\/a><\/strong><\/span> that we used on the edges!<\/p>\n

Believe it or not, I had our welcome, menu, order of events, and ceremony signs all printed at Walmart<\/a><\/strong><\/span>! I used the blank “board prints” template<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and uploaded my own text and images. They worked perfectly!<\/p>\n

We also had Kamie at Dizzy Daisy Designs<\/a><\/strong><\/span> use our watercolor crest on cocktail napkins<\/a><\/strong><\/span> for the reception! I’ve loved putting the leftover napkins out when we have guests over at the house!<\/p>\n

My sister (and best maid of honor EVER!) painted these cornhole boards for us that we had out at the rehearsal dinner, and then the next day for the wedding reception. This was the sweetest wedding gift that I know we’ll use for years to come! These are the cornhole bags<\/a><\/strong><\/span> that she ordered to go with them.<\/p>\n

And finally, our wedding programs! We used our crest<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>again on these, and it makes me so happy that it’s one of the items that has our actual wedding date on it! I absolutely loved the single-fold vertical style, and would do it again in a heartbeat.<\/p>\n
