These fun cake pops are so easy and are perfect to take to a backyard party, BBQ, beachside gathering – you name it! Everyone will love you for bringing these – plus, you can make them ahead of time so they’re a piece of cake (literally! ?) I topped mine with red, white and blue jimmy sprinkles<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, but you could use pretty much anything!<\/p>\n

4TH OF JULY CAKE POPS<\/h5>\n
WHAT YOU NEED:<\/h6>\n

1 Boxed Cake Mix (can be any flavor, I used Duncan Hines Classic White<\/a><\/strong><\/span>)<\/p>\n

(You will need eggs, vegetable oil, and water to add to the mix)<\/p>\n

1 Can of Vanilla Frosting (I used Duncan Hines Classic Vanilla<\/a><\/strong><\/span> – NOT the whipped kind)<\/p>\n

1 Package of Candi Quik Vanilla Coating<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Red, White, and Blue Sprinkles<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Cake Pop Sticks<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Patriotic Ribbon<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

WHAT TO DO:<\/h6>\n

1. Bake the cake mix in a 9×13 baking pan as directed by the instructions on the box. Allow it to cool completely.<\/p>\n

2. Cut the cake in several pieces to make it easier to crumble. With your hands, take the cake piece by piece and crumble it finely into a large mixing bowl.<\/p>\n

3. Once the cake is fully crumbled, add half the can of frosting into the bowl and mix with a large spoon. If the mixture does not easily form a ball, continue adding frosting by the spoonful until it reaches a formable consistency.<\/p>\n

4. Grab a cookie sheet and begin rolling the cake mixture into balls (slightly smaller than the size of a golf ball!) Place each one onto the cookie sheet. Chill the cake balls in the refrigerator for 15 minutes before continuing.<\/p>\n

5. Melt the Candi Quik in a microwave safe bowl. Take each cake pop stick and dip it a half-inch into the coating, then insert into the top of the cake ball. Repeat with each cake ball.<\/p>\n

6. While holding the cake pop stick, gently dip each cake ball into the melted Candi Quik until completely coated. Allow the excess to drip off into the bowl before placing on a waxed paper lined cookie sheet. Immediately top with sprinkles before the coating dries completely!<\/p>\n

7. Allow the pops to dry completely for 15-20 minutes before placing in a tupperware in the refrigerator, if not serving immediately. They will stay good for up to a week.<\/p>\n

8. If you wish, cut strips of patriotic ribbon to tie to the tops of your sticks before serving – enjoy! ?<\/p>\n
