EEEP! Y’all I am so EXCITED! I have been absolutely dying to share this news with you for over a month now. Rudd and I officially closed on our house in North Carolina yesterday and it’s going to be so fun to start sharing home-related content with you. I seriously can’t believe we can say we’re homeowners!
As some of you know, Rudd is a realtor in NC and is also a contractor, which made our house buying process much easier than it might have been otherwise. We’ve been on the hunt for the past few months and finally found something that checked all of our boxes!

It’s definitely a bit of a fixer upper (which is something we were hoping for because of Rudd’s construction skills) and there are a lot of things we want to do to it, including remodeling the kitchen, replacing interior doors, painting, etc.! On top of that, we’re going to be on a major furniture hunt over the next couple of months as we fill up our first home together. (I actually started buying some things over Memorial Day weekend!) I can’t wait to share each and every find with you along the way!
Rudd is going to be moving into the house after we fix up a few of the “major” things like the kitchen, and I’ll move in after the wedding next April! I spent some time yesterday afternoon taking a bunch of “before” pictures of the inside of the house so that I’ll be able to show you all of the transformations. Next up: Picking out our interior paint colors! Currently searching for the perfect white color for trim/cabinets. Give me all of your suggestions in the comments! (For all of you other homeowners, get ready for lots of Instagram story polls in the near future – I want to hear ALL of your opinions!)
