My sister gets married in 24 days! Eeeeep!
We had the most fantastic weekend celebrating Mary Catherine in Charleston and I’m so excited to share all of the details. I also went to Charleston for my own bachelorette weekend at the beginning of 2020, and you can read about that here.
I’ll start with where we stayed and what we did, and then get into the other details.
We stayed in 2 little homes right next to each other because we had 11 people in total, and our experience was absolutely perfect! We booked them through The Quarters on Spring – if you visit their website, we rented 2 of the 3 bedroom houses at 142 and 144 President Street. The location was great for everywhere we went, and it was so nice to have 6 full bathrooms between 11 girls!
Our weekend itinerary is below! I made this little Last Splash print-out on Zazzle and it really came in handy.
For me, the highlights were definitely our day on the beach (we went to Isle of Palms!) and our meal at The Darling Oyster Bar on Saturday night. Our brunch The Watch on the top of The Restoration hotel was so good, too! Since we went in July, we knew we needed to make reservations very early, and I’m glad we did because we had such a big group. Definitely plan to make reservations at these hot spots 2-3 months in advance!
Now for the fun part! Charleston Balloon Company went above and beyond to make our balloon dreams come true. They created the most beautiful photo back drop for us over the couch in one of the houses, complete with a champagne bottle and palm fronds! They also decorated the room that Mary Catherine and I stayed in, which was extra fun and festive! Jill, the owner of the company, made everything SO easy. She got to the house early and had it decorated by the time we checked in! Truly such a dream! You can follow Charleston Balloon Company on Instagram here.
You can shop the “Bride” balloon here and the letter balloons that spell out “MC’s Last Splash” here!
Mary Catherine put together the most adorable gift bags for the bridesmaids with the help of Sprinkled With Pink! They created personalized stadium cups, iridescent party pouches, and matching pink seashell baseball hats for all of the girls. SWP did such a great job coming up with the cutest ideaas for our “Last Splash” theme! We loved using the pouches for cocktails at the house, and we all wore our hats on the beach to keep the sun off of our faces! Mary Catherine also had these drink tumblers made with each girl’s name on them, and my mom made the wedding dress cookies.
Sprinkled With Pink is my go-to for personalized party supplies, especially when it comes to bachelorette parties. I also love getting custom gifts from SWP for my recently engaged friends! You can use my code MARAGRET for 10% off their entire website.
I’ve also been so excited to share these adorable beaded champagne bottle earrings from Gaby & Grace! Each of the bridesmaids got a pair of these pink beaded bottles, and Mary Catherine wore this “bride” pair – both are on sale right now! We’re obsessed!
You can follow Gaby & Grace on Instagram here. All of their designs are so fun, and these champagne bottles would be the perfect gift for your bridesmaids, too!
Mary Catherine’s “Future Mrs. Dorn” towel is from Zazzle, too – you can shop it here! You can also shop her dress from the photo above via this link.
We had cocktails + charcuterie while we waited for everyone to arrive on Friday afternoon, and Nosh Boards Charleston helped us make it happen! They created the most delicious savory and sweet boards for us to snack on, and totally nailed the “pink” theme for the weekend. Nosh Boards delivered them straight to our rental, which made it a breeze!
They’re definitely another Charleston company whose information you’ll want to save for future trips + bachelorette weeekends. You can follow Nosh Boards Charleston on Instagram here!
Our outfits from our first night out on Friday! We are embarrassing and own all of the same shoes, but these wedges are seriously so comfy for walking around town! My Lilly Pulitzer two-piece set is old, but you can shop Mary Catherine’s white dress by clicking here!
A few pictures from our beach day on Isle of Palms! Mary Catherine gave us all these cute heart sunglasses, which were so fun to wear. We ordered this pink ring float at the last minute and I’m so glad we did! It was so cute for pictures!
These pictures are from our night out on Saturday night! The photo above was taken right in front of The Darling Oyster Bar. We headed to Elevé on the rooftop of the Grand Bohemian Hotel for drinks after dinner – pictured in the photo of Mary Catherine below! Here’s the link to the pink ruffled dress I wore on Saturday night, too.
And I’ll leave you with these last 2 photos from our farewell brunch at The Watch on Sunday! My mom ordered these tattoos with my sister’s fiancé’s face on them ? Hi, Matt! They were definitely a hilarious touch to the weekend.
As always, feel free to leave any questions in the comments below! I’d love to know if you’re planning your own bachelorette “Last Splash” to Charleston!!
