I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for all things FALL! I know there’s a hot debate going on right now about whether or not it’s time for fall decor, but I’m definitely on board.
I browsed a bunch of different fall wreaths online a few weeks ago, but I just couldn’t find one that I loved. After being inspired by my mom who decided to turn her “everyday wreath” into a “fall wreath,” I decided to do the same! I took a trip to Hobby Lobby, and was ready to go with all of my supplies. I’m not exaggerating when I say this transformation took me 15 minutes!!
For reference, I also published an Instagram reel on my account today, showing what the process looked like from start to finish!
This is the exact wreath that I started out with. I leave this on our front door year-round, with the exception of holidays! I might just start adding little things to it for each holiday after doing this transformation, though.
I used these orange pumpkins with little wooden skewers stuck in the backs of them, these white pumpkin picks, this black & white ribbon, this orange & white ribbon, and this burlap & gold ribbon.
The orange pumpkins are basically a hard foam, so I just stuck the wooden skewers in the back, and then stuck the skewers into the wreath. The white pumpkins were even easier to secure, because they already had picks attached to them!
To make the big bow, I tied 4 regular bows with the ribbon I bought (listed above). I made one “regular bow” with each ribbon type (like how you tie your shoe), and an extra one with the orange & white ribbon. To secure them into one *big* bow, I just used some green floral wire, and then used the same wire to tie the big bow onto the wreath.
And, viola! She’s finished! I love how this turned out and can’t wait to try to do this for other holidays. Sometimes when you can’t find what you’re looking for, you just have to create it yourself!
