Blogilates: Home Workout Plan

I probably have the most serious love/hate relationship with working out everrrr. I absolutely dread doing it, but when I’m finished I feel SO good about it. It’s honestly such a strange cycle, but I’ve finally found the easiest way (for me) to stay in shape! Let me tell you about my journey with Blogilates:

Since I graduated from college almost a year ago, my fitness routine has been kind of on/off. I used to love going to classes in Clemson’s campus gym, but I really despise going to the gym in the “real world.” Part of that is because I’m flat out too lazy to get in the car and drive somewhere just to torture myself (especially when it’s cold, thank u, next) ??‍♀️ If I’m going for a social reason, that’s another story. OR if someone just drags me to the gym with them “for fun…”

When I started working full time last July, I knew I needed something I could easily do at home before or after work. Enter: Blogilates – A blog of workout videos created by award-winning fitness instructor and entrepreneur, Cassey Ho. After I discovered Cassey’s videos on Youtube in college, I used to randomly do her workout videos when I didn’t want to go to the gym. I re-discovered her awesome website (blogilates.com) a few months ago and started seriously sticking to her fitness calendar in November. (I follow her routines Monday-Friday and take the weekends off!)

Cassey’s videos are mostly pilates-focused but also combine HIIT style routines and barre-style moves. It’s seriously like my perfect fitness world! On the fitness calendar on her website, Cassey tags 4-5 videos per day for you to complete. These videos usually add up to a 45 minute-1 hour workout. I love her workouts SO much because Cassey is fun, encouraging, and  NOT annoying at all (*I feel like that needs to be said because I’ve bailed on so many workout videos in the past due to unenjoyable instructors!!) You also don’t need any equipment for her workouts – just a yoga mat + a cute workout set, and you’re good to go!

I should also mention that her calendar and videos are FREE to use on a desktop! All you have to do is sign up for a free account to use the calendar.

I feel so much stronger and more toned since starting the Blogilates workouts. When I started seriously doing these videos, I did them late in the afternoon after work, but have recently transitioned to doing them in the morning. I used to think I hated working out in the morning, but now I kind of love it! When I fit it in before work, I always feel like I have more energy throughout the day. Then my afternoons are free to do whatever!
