WHAT IS THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE?
It’s that time of year again, y’all! I have to be honest that I’m not quite as interested in the #NSale as I have been in past years due to current circumstances, but nonetheless I think there are some great deals to stock your wardrobe with for the fall + winter. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale typically consists of all NEW styles that are released and put on sale immediately, instead of “old” styles that are just marked down. The end of the sale concludes with prices going “back up” on all of the newly released styles. This is my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale blog post from last year, to give you an even better idea of items that are usually included!
I like to use this sale to take inventory of my current closet to see what needs to be replaced from the previous year! Most of the styles will be fall/winter related – AKA lots of sweaters, booties, denim, etc. This is a great time to see if your favorite pair of boots needs an update, or if you need to grab more basics for your closet!
WHEN DOES THE SALE START?
There is no “one size fits all” answer to this question, but the short version is that if you’re a Nordstrom credit card holder, you get to shop first + early! I am not a cardholder, and have always shopped the sale when it opens to the public without much difficulty, but if you’re interested, you can apply for a card here. They typically re-stock items as the sale goes on. At the very least, make sure to create a free account so you can start making your wish list!
August 4th – Icon level cardholders can start shopping
August 7th – Ambassador level cardholders can start shopping
August 10th – Influencer level cardholders can start shopping
August 13th – Insider level cardholders can start shopping
* August 19th – Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the public!
August 30th – The sale ends, and prices go back up!
HOW CAN I PREVIEW THE SALE ITEMS?
Usually, Nordstrom only releases a preview “catalogue” with a handful of items that will be part of the sale. This year, they are releasing actual items + prices to preview before the sale launches, allowing you to make a wish list! I think this is a great idea because it saves you (and me!) from combing through all of the items when the sale launches. Nordstrom is releasing new items everyday, and I’ll be updating the lists on this page as often as possible throughout the sale dates!
