2019 Fall Reading List

It’s time to hop back on my nightly reading habit (it helps me fall asleep so much easier + faster!) so I’m trying to motivate myself by writing this blog post! There’s nothing I love more than cozying up with a hot cup of tea or coffee and a good book when (if?) the weather starts getting chilly. Reese Witherspoon’s book club is always my first stop when it comes to finding good things to read, and I’ve found a few recently that look really interesting!

I really love making these lists (check out my summer list!), then sharing little reviews of them on my Instagram stories when I finish reading! It’s kind of like holding myself accountable to finish the books, and that’s never a bad thing, right?

1. The Great Alone  by Kristin Hannah

I read The Nightingale  by the same author, and it’s one of my favorite books I’ve ever read! This story sounds like one that would be fun to read on really cold days spent inside around the fire.

2. Daisy Jones & the Six  by Taylor Jenkins Reid

A gripping novel about the whirlwind rise of an iconic 1970s rock group and their beautiful lead singer, revealing the mystery behind their infamous breakup.

3. The Secrets We Kept  by Lara Prescott

A thrilling tale of secretaries turned spies, of love and duty, and of sacrifice–inspired by the true story of the CIA plot to infiltrate the hearts and minds of Soviet Russia, not with propaganda, but with the greatest love story of the twentieth century: Doctor Zhivago.

4. Then She Was Gone  by Lisa Jewell

Ellie Mack was the perfect daughter. She was fifteen, the youngest of three. She was beloved by her parents, friends, and teachers. She and her boyfriend made a teenaged golden couple. She was days away from an idyllic post-exams summer vacation, with her whole life ahead of her.

And then she was gone.

5. Whisper Network  by Chandler Baker

“Exciting and sprinkled with razor-sharp insights about what it is to be a woman today, Whisper Network is a witty and timely story that will make you cheer for sisterhood.”―Liv Constantine, USA Today bestselling author of The Last Mrs. Parrish
