I don’t know what happened, but all of a sudden the weekend ended and now it’s Monday?! It seems like I was just putting up Friday’s blog post and now it’s already time to post today’s! I was honestly kind of slack this weekend getting blog stuff up/posting Instagram stories. Do y’all ever feel like you just need to unplug and take a step away from social media? I get that urge every 3-ish weeks. When I hit that point, I usually step away from my media for the weekend to recharge! If I didn’t have this blog, I would probably be 90% less active on social media. No matter your job or your business, I think it’s important to keep social media/the internet in perspective. (I could write way more about this topic but I’ll save it for another time!)
Because I didn’t post much this weekend, I feel like I should fill you in on what we did! Rudd came to Columbia this weekend and we went out to eat Mexican food on Friday night (quesadillas are in my top 5 favorite foods) and to see The Meg movie! Don’t even bother trying to tell me that The Meg is dumb because I will fight you on it!! On Saturday night, we had a wedding party to go to for some of our friends from Clemson. I wore this yellow ruffle dress from Nordstrom that’s only $55! (Finally cutting to the chase of this post ?) I knew it was going to be one million degrees outside so I went with something linen and breezy (and something that I didn’t have to wear a bra with which is maybe TMI but I feel like it’s a real selling point.)

I’m wearing a small in this dress for reference! It also comes in a really pretty blue color that I almost got, but then I realized how much blue I have in my wardrobe lately and forced myself to get the yellow ? It is a little bit shorter than I expected it to be, but it ended up working out well because it helped keep me cool! This dress would be perfect to wear to an outdoor summer wedding or party if you dressed it up with jewelry and heels. You could also wear it with a pair of flat sandals like Jack Rogers and a pair of gold hoops for a casual daytime look!

I would make this a couple’s blog if he would let me but we all know that’s never going to happen so here we are! I got Rudd his Ralph Lauren drivers for his birthday last year and he loves them. He wears his shot shell belt from Tuckernuck all the time too – I think it would make such a great guy gift for birthdays/anniversaries/Christmas.
