When I think Lilly Pulitzer I don’t necessarily think “fall” because of their signature bright colors and fun prints! I was SO impressed when I stopped by Pink Sorbet (my favorite Lilly store in Columbia) a few weeks ago to see all of the new arrivals for fall. There was so much navy and black! I really love that Lilly is creating so many new and versatile pieces that are perfect for wearing year-round, or when you’re attending an event that doesn’t call for an eye-catching color.
The Pink Sorbet girls were so sweet to invite me to come and shop the new Lilly Pulitzer arrivals with them! We snacked on some adorable cookies and cake pops from Chase Cakes S.C. while we snapped photos and chatted about the new arrivals. When I went in the store, I was looking for something to wear to an alumni cocktail party that Rudd and I are attending in Clemson on Friday night! I was expecting to find a couple of things that I liked that I could choose from but OMG I wanted everything! All of the new navy and black pieces are so perfect for cocktail events and fall/winter weddings. I shared a few of these outfits on my Instagram last week, but I wanted to put them into a one-stop-shop post for y’all (+ reveal the romper I picked for our cocktail event!)

This is the first Lilly Pulitzer look from my shopping spree that I shared with y’all on Instagram last week – if I had a fall wedding to go to, the Amenna dress would be my first pick! The eyelet details and bell sleeves make it dressy enough for a cocktail event or a special night out. It runs true to size – I’m wearing a 4! The Kelsea Silk Dress was the runner-up to the romper that I ended up picking for my event! It would be so easy to dress up or down depending on what you’re wearing it for. I loved how comfortable and flowy the fit was too – you could always add a pretty cashmere wrap for chilly nights!
I also LOVED the Britnee shift dress in this pretty pink color! It wasn’t the style I was looking for to wear to my event, but if I had a bridal shower/luncheon to attend, I would totally pick this. The back of the dress is absolutely beautiful with the eyelet and ruffle details! I thought it ran a little bit small so I sized up to a 6. By the way, my Kate Spade Initial Pendant that I’m wearing in all of these photos (and wear everyday) is on sale right now!
Now introducing…the Tiki Wrap Romper! I knew this was the outfit I was going to pick the moment I tried it on! It runs true to size and I’m wearing a small. I think it’s going to be so perfect for our cocktail party – just the right amount of fun paired with the right amount of dressiness! I’m super glad I chose this because the high in Clemson on Friday is only going to be 66 degrees which is chilly compared to the temps we’ve been experiencing in Columbia lately! The long sleeves should come in handy.
