These little life updates have quickly become my favorite blog posts to write! And this is a good one.
We’ll start with a quick re-cap of my camera roll starting in mid-February, then we’ll get to the best news ever!!
Rudd and I had the loveliest meal for Valentine’s Day in the dining room at the Inn at Biltmore. We just became season pass-holders, and I’m so excited to explore more of the property as the weather warms up! The annual “Biltmore in Bloom” exhibition (featuring tons of beautiful flowers all over the grounds) is coming up in April, and I can’t wait to go! Linking my Valentine’s Day outfit here.
Next, the outfit I can’t stop wearing! I wore it with white jeans over the weekend, actually. This headband is on sale for only $15! I find it to be so comfortable, and it truly goes with so much because of the pattern.
My brother and his sweet girlfriend were in town in February! I always love getting things ready when we have people staying over, specifically the food, and this was our little breakfast spread! I have this cinnamon coffee cake recipe in a blog post, and the quiche (called Country Sausage Pie – a recipe from my Mimi) is below! Linking the scalloped tray here, as well.
My recent Summersalt order – I can’t wait to wear both of these swimsuits on our beach trip in May!
I’m absolutely in love with this linen top and shorts set, and now I want it in every color!! I live in sets like this in the summertime, and know that it’s something I’ll reach for again and again. This is so random – but I had a few boxes of plain chex cereal leftover from treats I made around Christmastime, so I decided to make my own chex mix! I just used what I had on hand which was chex, almonds, and pretzels, but I followed this recipe. It’s sooo yummy, I will definitely make again!
And now, for the biggest news…ever. My sister and brother-in-law had their baby boy, Lee Alexander Dorn!! He was born exactly a week ago, and we are all over the moon in love with him. They are all doing extremely well, and my sister is just the picture of beauty, grace, and strength. Aunt Margie and Uncle Rudd cannot wait to love on him forever and ever!!
