Friday Favorites: Summer Vacation Essentials

Happy Friday, friends!! I’m headed to Savannah today for a wedding tomorrow and couldn’t be more excited to head out of town for a little bit for the first time this summer. I’ll be in Destin right after that so I’ve really had to get myself organized to be able to pack up all of my belongings for the next 10 days…

Today’s Friday Favorites post is all about my summer vacation essentials! I feel like I pretty much have packing down to a science at this point. Whenever I’m planning to be away for a while with several different destinations like I am today, I want to make sure that I don’t overpack (easier said than done.)

To start, I write down all of the events I know are happening throughout the trip: AKA the wedding, how many times we’ll go out to dinner, how many days we’ll be on the beach, etc. From there, I plan individual outfits and physically write out what I’m wearing on each day! To be safe, I pack at least 2 extra outfits, but this helps eliminate a lot of over-packing.

1. Cheap Sunglasses

Whenever I’m at the beach, I never wear my Ray-Bans or any other expensive sunglasses because knowing me, they’ll just get scratched up or broken. I lovvve a good pair of cheap sunglasses from Target or Old Navy. Linking my favorites below!

2. Sandals

As you can see in the photos above, my Tory Burch sandals are pretty dogged out. (Shows you how much I love them!) Because they’re so worn, I pretty much only wear them the pool or to the beach now. They my favorite summer sandals ever!

3. Beach Hat

A wide brimmed beach hat is very much an essential. Because who wants to start aging early from the sun? Def not this girl.

4. Monogrammed Tote

YES. I love my monogrammed tote bag! You can pretty much buy any tote bag and take it to an embroidery place, but I’m linking some easy-peasy ways to get one below.

5. Tassel Earrings

Or any statement earring, really. Still in love with the tassel trend and #sorrynotsorry but I’m not going to stop!! Earrings like these make it so easy to jazz up any outfit without much effort while you’re on vacay.
