Over the weekend, we celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary!
It seems like yesterday and also forever-ago that we were postponing and re-planning our wedding due to the start of the pandemic in 2020. Crazy times! If you’re new around here, you can go back and read my countless blog posts about wedding planning, postponing, and all of the details from our favorite day.
We decided to celebrate our anniversary with a date-day in Highlands, NC! It’s a special place for us as we honeymooned at the trés chic Old Edwards Inn after our wedding. I have a whole post about that here, too!
We started our day with lunch at Madison’s, the restaurant at Old Edwards. They’re open to the public for lunch and dinner, but make sure to make a reservation! We enjoyed their famous pimento cheese to start, and I had the chicken salad sandwich and tomato soup to eat. It was so delicious! We also had the pavlova for dessert, which I’m still dreaming about. The thoughtfulness and hospitality of Old Edwards is woven into everything, right down to adding a special message on your dessert plate.

After lunch, we shopped around town, reminisced on our honeymoon, and enjoyed drinks in the Wine Garden at Old Edwards. The perfect day of celebrating with my favorite person! Thank you for all of your well-wishes!
