Casual Thanksgiving Look: Two Ways

Y’all HOW is it Thanksgiving week already?? I feel like Halloween came and went and now here we are. I’m so excited to have everyone together to stuff our faces later this week ? I always put myself in charge of helping make the desserts – we usually make cranberry pie, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, AND apple pie. Needless to say, we are HUGE pie people. Well, and we’re also cupcake people if you saw my Turkey Cupcake post last week! Does your family have something like this that you ALWAYS do?! I feel like everyone’s family has “food traditions” that they never break on Thanksgiving and I think it’s so fun to hear about them.

After you have your food planned out, the next thing on your mind is likely: So what am I wearing..? (If not, please just humor me.) I went harddd on the 20% off everything sale at Old Navy a couple of weeks ago and found this super fun holiday plaid blouse that I’m just obsessed with. I started trying it on with multiple different looks and just couldn’t decide which one I liked best! I thought it would only be fitting to show you two different casual Thanksgiving looks that you can easily style with these pieces from Old Navy OR with similar pieces you already have in your closet!

*Old Navy is having 40% off EVERYTHING today, 11/20 – this is the perfect time to snag some holiday pieces for Thanksgiving/Christmas! The discount is applied to your cart automatically.

Over-The-Knee Boots • $47.40
Kate Spade Initial Pendant Necklace • $58

Sheila Fajl Everybody’s Favorite Hoops • $73

Now introducing Look Number One: I call this look the “I’m eating at my extended family’s house or my own house and I want to be cute but don’t want to try too hard” look. Also perfect for outside meals because of the warm Columbia vest and over the knee boots! My suede skirt is also from Old Navy (and also 40% off!) It runs veryyy small – I had to size up to a 6 and usually wear a 4. While we’re talking about sizing, I’m wearing a medium in the plaid blouse for a super relaxed fit, but could definitely have worn a small (especially for this skirt look!)

Now introducing Look Number Two: I call this look the “I’m eating with my significant other’s family/having a super chill meal with my own extended family but still want to be holiday chic” look. The exact shoes I’m wearing are a couple of years old from Michael Kors, but I found an almost exact (and much cheaper) pair for y’all! The jeans I’m wearing are also  very comfortable so no worries about them cutting off your circulation after your third trip to the mashed potatoes! Throw on a layered gold necklace and your favorite sunnies for some extra glam and you’re good to go.
