I’ve been doing my “wedding guest dresses” blog post series for a while now (each post usually has 30 dresses to choose from, divided into 2 formality categories!) And I’m back with another one today to help us get ready for the summertime! I decided to title this one with the word “event” instead of “wedding,” because I get tons of questions on dresses to wear to bridal showers, baby showers, graduations, rehearsal dinners, etc. – it seems easier to lump it all into one category! These dresses certainly are not just for wedding guests. No matter your summer event, I think there is something on this list for everyone!
I kept the organization of the 2 formality categories, though, with a little tweaking. The first is “daytime and cocktail” looks, which would apply to any event during the day, a wedding before 6pm, or a cocktail event. The second is “formal dresses and maxis” which would be appropriate for nighttime events, and weddings after 6pm. I do want to note that there are a few cotton maxis and one eyelet dress in the latter category, which are innately a bit more casual. I think those dresses could definitely still be worn formally, especially at an outdoor event with dressier accessories!
