I am coming to you with a very informal blog post today to link 10 of the make up products I used to get ready for my sister’s recent wedding! I’ve always been one to do my own make up for special events because 1. I love doing it and 2. I always feel like I look more like myself! I even did my make up for my own wedding day last summer – watch this IGTV to see what I did!
I also posted these in an Instagram reel today to show them to you quickly, but wanted to link them all here, as well.
10 Make Up Products I Used for my Sister’s Wedding:
1. Face Tape Foundation – My longstanding special event foundation – it covers super well without looking cakey, and pairs nicely with the Shape Tape concealer. I wear shade Light Neutral.
2. Setting Powder – This is my favorite mattifying powder right now! It sets everything so well and has the perfect finish.
3. Bronzer Stick – This is actually a highlighter stick, but I got the bronze color and have basically been using it as a contour stick. It blends like a dream!
4. Satin Blush – I’ve been wearing this blush in shade “melon” for a while now, and it has the perfect amount of pigment.
5. Taupe Brown Pencil – I love the color of this pencil – the taupe is great for blondes!
6. Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner – I randomly tried this liquid liner years ago, and it’s still my favorite! I’ve been loving the liquid look vs. pencil eyeliner recently.
7. Lash Primer – Another staple that I use daily, but never forget to put on for special events! It truly makes your lashes so much longer and fuller when you apply before mascara.
8. Faux Lashes – Every time I put these on, I always wonder why I don’t wear them more often! Nothing makes your eyes pop in pictures like faux lashes.
9. Long Wear Liquid Lipstick – I ordered this very last minute before the wedding in “For Keeps Pink” because I thought it looked very similar to the bridesmaids dresses – I was so right! It claims to last for 16 hours, but I would definitely give it a solid 8.
10. All Nighter Setting Spray – Again, a staple of mine for years. If you’ve never tried this specific setting spray, it will change your life (not to be dramatic…) It’s never failed me yet!
